Hotel, village inn and restaurant, meeting place and holiday destination, the Taube in Bizau has a number of guises. Hosted for over 90 years by the same family, the third generation now continues to offer its traditional hospitality.
Come and let us spoil you with authentic regional cuisine, cooked just the way we like it best! Healthy and wholesome, our meals are prepared with love and dedication and sourced from the best local farm ingredients. Take a seat at one of the tastefully laid tables in our historic parlour. If its walls could talk they would tell of the craftsmen who constructed them from the very best timber, using quality workmanship and a discerning eye for detail.
Our welcoming, comfortable rooms are perfect for winding down at the end of the day with a good book from the new library. Spend a great holiday in our friendly guest house and enjoy relaxing in the village inn.

The Taube's two parlour bars take you back in time, offering an insight into two generations - not only of the innkeepers themselves, but also of the craftsmen. In their time, each of the two parlours was designed and built by traditional local carpenters, and incorporated lovingly and tastefully into the existing building. Cosy and welcoming, both rooms make the perfect place to drop in for a drink or a bite to eat.
Rooms
Using wood from the Bregenzerwald region, our hotel rooms here in Bizau have been crafted lovingly with much attention to detail by carpenters from the area. Each of our rooms is unique. Curtains, wallpaper and carpets all reflect the colours of the natural world. Rooms are available as doubles; some may also be booked for three or four person occupancy.
Winter
The Bregenzerwald is a winter sports destination for discerning guests. Lively, enjoyable and pleasantly relaxing, the region exudes an atmosphere of unassuming confidence and quiet individuality. Top quality and good planning are things we take for granted here in the Bregenzerwald.
Nature and the environment – topics close to our heart!
We are delighted with our new bio-fuel heating system, which has helped us end our dependence on oil. The heating pellets, made from wood shavings sourced from local producers, have been keeping the “Taube” snug and warm ever since 21st November 2022. It’s our small contribution to a climate-friendly future, and we are proud to share this fact with our guests.
